The makers of cloth diapers have really come a long way with the helpful gadgets. This sprayer thing that attaches to the potty is awesome b/c you don't have to touch anything you can just spray it off. (Now I just have to keep E away from it. She thinks it's the newest toy.) I also love our pail liner that you throw the diapers into after they're used. When you're ready to wash you just lift this whole thing out and throw it in the wash!! What's hard about that?! I've also found that if you use the cloth diapers you should also use cloth wipes so that you don't have to separate the 2 after you use them. There are tons of recipes online for wipe solution and I am planning to cut up some old receiving blankets and finish the edges with my serger to make some wipes. The cloth diapers are a little bulkier than disposable diapers so we've been calling sally "popcorn pants" ha! But I still think they're cute!

A couple of announcements....
First announcement......OUR CHICKEN LAID AN EGG! Not a miracle I know, but we've been waiting for so long that I was convinced we had some "barren karen" chickens or something that wouldn't lay eggs. They're supposed to start laying between 4-6 months old and ours are a little over 6 months! Maybe they overheard me telling William that I was about to roast every one of them if they didn't start laying soon? Ha! Anyway....we're excited about it and E is having a blast running out there to get the eggs. And they taste amazing!!!
Next....we've made the switch to CLOTH DIAPERS! Ah!! I never thought I'd want to do this and have always thought it was a ton of work but I promise you...it's really easy! I have been researching them online like crazy and getting help from some friends who do it. My friend Laura has some really great info here on her site if you're interested. I also love this diaper calculator which helped me to get Will T on board. Once he saw that we'd be saving close to $2000 until she was potty trained he was up for it! I am well aware that it won't be as easy or as quick as using disposable diapers but usually it's the things that take longer that turn out to be the best.....kind of like made from scratch food vs. microwave dinners. I'll get off of my soapbox now. :)
